Advisense Releases First Sustainability Statement for 2023
Today, Advisense released its first Sustainability Statement, developed in preparation for the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the corresponding European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS). The CSRD is a gamechanger within sustainability reporting and already applicable for large companies within the EU.
The CSRD reflects EU’s ambition to bring sustainability reporting up to the same level as financial reporting and will gradually replace the sustainability reporting rules of the Non-Financial Reporting Directive (NFRD). With these changes, an estimated 50 000 companies across the EU will be required to disclose comprehensive and verifiable sustainability information. Advisense will have to comply with the directive fully in 2026 for the 2025 Financial Year.
Advisense is committed to help our clients navigate the complexities of sustainability and ESG compliance. To lead by example and to step-up our own efforts, we have applied the tools and procedures that we use in client advisory to our own operations. This includes conducting a Double Materiality Assessment, a key step in enabling CSRD reporting, and mapping our operations against the corresponding ESRS standards.
In the Sustainability Statement, we present our sustainability governance structure, our management of ESG issues and our key achievements. In 2023, our Sustainability Policy, ESG targets, and key performance indicators (KPIs) were updated, we established an internal ESG-framework and appointed a global Head of Sustainability. For the first time, we also present our carbon accounting along with our emission-related goals, recently validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
The statement has been produced as an Advisense group joint effort, headed by our ESG team. We acknowledge that there is still much to be done to strengthen our sustainability efforts in the coming years – enabling us to be fully CSRD-compliant when the directive will apply to us.
We invite you to read our Sustainability Statement, and we hope to inspire other organisations to join us in building resilient and sustainable institutions.
