FCG opens offices in Finland!

Nordic Risk & Compliance experts FCG Risk & Compliance, opened their Helsinki office on February 1^st. The Finnish team will initially be led by Pekka Pykäri, and supported by more than 200 Nordic colleagues. “We are confident that Pekka, with his profile and enthusiastic approach, can continue FCG’s journey now into Finland, with the support of the entire FCG group”, says FCG Founding Partner Johan Cristvall.

Given the depth and breadth of competencies required to ensure internal control and compliance with financial regulations, many financial institutions, both small and large, are increasingly seeking external support from specialist service providers. With FCG opening operations in Helsinki, Country Manager Pekka Pykäri is confident in it being a great match:

“My background is in banking and risk management, with a focus in quantitative risks and their related regulation” Pekka Pykäri states. “Having worked with capital adequacy, credit risk and regulatory reporting, as well as being the Chief Risk Officer at a smaller bank has given me a broad understanding of the challenges that medium-sized and small banks face in today’s regulatory environment. This coming year, my aim is to build a Finnish expert team which together with our strong existing competences in other Nordics and continental Europe can together with our clients change the Finnish financial sector to become safer.”

FCG founder Johan Cristvall sees the possibility of bringing broad and deep understanding of the financial market and its’ mechanisms to Finland, and is looking forward to seeing the Nordic expertise at FCG getting an important Finnish perspective:
